Statement of the services of John Cawley, a Commander in H.M. Navy, between the years 1793 and 1834, printed broadsheet addressed "To Sir James Graham and My Lords Commissioners of the Admiralty, Plymouth, May 28, 1834". Applying for an appointment to the Ordinary at the dockyard at Jamaica. Cawley served under Capt. William Broughton during his famous Pacific voyage in the Providence, 1795-1998, and mentions that information he gave London merchants about the extended cruising area of sperm whales in the Pacific had led to a great extension of that fishing. Two letters, London Jan. 1835, one by John Cawley and one by his father John Snr., request payment of balance of a loan.
